Riding on the warm success of its first café-inspired branch in BF Homes, MITA opens its newest concept, MITA Kitchen + Lounge, at Molito Lifestyle Center, which debuted last September 23. This new dining destination captures the essence of a modern culinary experience—where daytime comfort meets evening sophistication. Guests can expect Euro-Asian flavors, refined yet relaxed interiors, and an inviting atmosphere ideal for everything from brunches to late-night cocktails.
At the helm is Chef Marco Legasto, whose culinary journey spans more than two decades across the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Known for his inventive approach and refined palate, Chef Marco has made his mark as one of the country’s most dynamic chefs—having served as Guest Chef for the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia and led acclaimed kitchens such as Prime101 and Le Gastro. His signature style blends world-class technique with heartfelt storytelling through food.

Now, as the creative force behind MITA Kitchen + Lounge, he brings together global inspiration and personal passion, curating a menu that feels both adventurous and comforting. “We wanted the food to feel elevated but never intimidating. Every dish was chosen not just for taste, but to create a narrative that unfolds as you explore the menu,” Chef Marco shares.
The result is a culinary experience that flows naturally—from bright, sharable plates to bold mains and desserts that surprise in their simplicity and balance.
Crowd favorites on the menu
Guests are already raving about MITA’s standout creations: Truffle Smoked Salmon Roll – truffle cheese, caviar, and truffle honey on brioche, finished with MITA’s house-smoked salmon; MITA’s Signature Steak – premium cut topped with bone marrow foie gras butter, rich and indulgent; Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi with Foie Gras Duxelles – seasonal catch paired with a luscious mushroom foie gras duxelles; and, Quezo de Bola Cheesecake – a perfect blend of savory richness and gentle sweetness.

The bar program is just as thoughtful, featuring handcrafted cocktails like the citrus-forward Mita’s Mojito, the fruity and refreshing Paloma de Mita, and the herbaceous Last Word—a classic revived for modern tastes.
Every detail reflects MITA’s commitment to craftsmanship. From smoking their own salmon to curing their own steaks, everything is made in-house—ensuring every bite and sip embodies the brand’s promise of quality and authenticity.
A design that blends day and night
Much like its menu, MITA’s interiors are designed for seamless transitions. Conceptualized by Zero One Design under Isa Pulvinar, the space strikes a balance between sophistication and warmth. Terracotta tiles, rattan-inspired lighting, and earthy textures soften the lounge’s sleek architecture, creating an atmosphere that evolves effortlessly from sunlit brunches to ambient evenings.
Among the most striking details are the woven pendant fixtures and cascading shell chandeliers, which bathe the room in a soft, golden glow. At the heart of it all is a sculptural bar that serves as both a visual centerpiece and a social anchor—inviting guests to gather, linger, and toast to the moment.

More than just dining
Beyond its menu, MITA Kitchen + Lounge extends into curated experiences. Expect chef collaborations, exclusive tasting menus, and wine-pairing classes that showcase the artistry behind its Euro-Asian sensibilities. As night falls, the space transforms into a lively lounge, with select weekend DJs, bar takeovers, and cocktail specials that keep the energy fresh and dynamic.
Expanding the MITA experience
The opening of MITA Kitchen + Lounge marks an exciting evolution for the brand. Its first outpost in BF Homes became a beloved neighborhood café—known for its community spirit, specialty coffee, and comforting dishes. With the Molito branch, husband-and-wife founders Rodney and Nikki Ynchausti reimagine MITA as a more intentional, chef-driven concept designed for both relaxed daytime dining and refined nightlife.
“BF will always be about the comfort of a neighborhood café, but Molito lets us explore a chef-driven lounge concept. It’s a new chapter, but our commitment to coffee remains a pillar of the MITA experience,” says co-founder Nikki Ynchausti.
With its inventive Euro-Asian menu, versatile design, and curated lifestyle offerings, MITA Kitchen + Lounge redefines dining in the South. It’s more than a restaurant—it’s a space to savor, linger, and rediscover the joy of food, drink, and connection.
MITA Kitchen + Lounge is located in the new building of Molito Lifestyle Center. The restaurant is open during weekdays from 11 AM to 11 PM, and weekends from 11 AM to 2 AM. You may Follow them on Instagram @mitakitchenxlounge.
