
Steak enthusiasts are in for a special treat at the Flame Restaurant in Discovery Primea from June 7 to July 7, 2025 with the launch of its Fire & Flavor: A Culinary Collaboration — an exclusive culinary showcase celebrating the bold character and unmistakable quality of premium Canadian beef.
During a media preview, seven dishes showcasing Canadian Beef were enjoyed during lunch with Alberta cattle ranchers, Canadian Embassy and Discovery Primea executives.

“Nothing else puts a smile to me more than seeing Canadian beef being served here in the Philippines. I like to thank Canadian Beef for organizing this event and promoting it in the Philippines and in other parts of the globe. I also want to thank Discovery Primea for hosting us,” said Honorable RJ Sigurdson, Minister of Agriculture and Education of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
He added that Alberta, with at least 16,000 cattle producers, has the most cattle in Canada and supplies the beef needs of the country. The beef from Alberta is known for its rich flavor, consistent high quality, and being grass-fed and grain-finished to ensure it remains nutritious and packed full of vitamins.

Representing Canada Beef, Albert Eringfeld, Vice President of Export Market Development, expressed his excitement about the collaboration with Flame restaurant. He stated, “It’s a proud moment as we continue to strengthen our presence in the Philippines and share unforgettable dining experiences built around premium Canadian beef.”

The Fire & Flavor menu, curated and prepared by Chef Luis Chikiamco and his culinary team, brings out the depth and character of Canadian beef using Flame’s signature approach to open-flame cooking.
The event welcomed arriving guests with a featured BBQ Canadian Beef Brisket Pastrami Slider pass around.

The lunch started with appetizers of Canadian AAA Chuck flap Mexican inspired“Taquito” and Japanese inspired Angus Chuck Eye Roll “Menchu Katsu” nuggets.
Followed by the AAA Rib Eye Tartare that brought out the natural flavor of the beef and the surprising Vietnamese-inspired Short Rib Plate Pho that felt luxurious with the intense flavor and texture of the beef broth in the soup.

The main course of Dry-Aged AAA Rib Eye and Braised AAA Short Ribs showcased the best quality and taste of Canadian beef, impressing guests who were experiencing Canadian beef for the first time.
